DEA 모형을 활용한 혁신형 중소기업과 일반 중소기업의 효율성 평가에 관한 연구

초록

[Purpose]This study attempted to examine the cause of inefficiency in SMEs, to suggest an efficient conformity group in details and to eventually improve the efficiency of SMEs. For this purpose, the method of DEA was applied, and the efficiency of general SMEs and innovative SMEs was measured. [Methodology]The data for analysis were 118 companies listed in the Korea stock market to check the financial statements of manufacturing companies registered as SMEs in the Small and Medium Business Administration. To find whether the cause of efficiency comes from efficiency of scale or technical efficiency, CCR model and BCC model from DEA basic models were used. To improve efficiency of each SME, an outcome－oriented model was used to suggest a standard to maximize production with the same input. [Findings]The measurements of efficiency with the application of DEA showed that in the output－oriented CCR model, 12 companies had 100% of efficiency; 7 innovative SMEs and 5 general SMEs. [Implications]Based on measurements, each variable’s ideal target value and proportion to help inefficient SMEs to achieve efficiency were found and in the case of outputs, the degree to which they should be increased was suggested.
