Development of fetal heart rate monitoring system

Fetal heart rate measurement methods using Doppler ultrasound are generally applied to fetal monitoring devices. The movement of a pregnant woman and the fetus results in the misalignment of the acoustic beam and degrades the reliability of the measurement. We propose the Doppler signal-based motion tracking system to compensate for the movement of the target. We implemented the FHR monitoring system by integrating the Doppler signal detectable probe with the motor device of 2 degree-of-freedom. The FHR monitoring system detected the Doppler signal and distinguished the position by the amplitude of the Doppler signal. The multichannel sensor has been configured to determine the direction of movement of the target. Information on the direction was successfully obtained through the secondary transducer even though the target was performed away from the center transducer.
