Analysis of the ISO 9001 Adult Result in Construction Management Firms

The construction industry strengthens its business capability through the implementation of advanced ISO 9001. This research set out to deduce improvement measures by finding and analyzing nonconformities in the audited certification of ISO 9001 in construction companies. We analyzed 172 nonconformity reports from seven representative construction companies that were audited periodically by a certification body from 2000 to 2004. The research showed that the corrective actions for the nonconformities were closely related to the management activities of the companies. Consequently, corrective actions for addressing the nonconformities have to be implemented for these construction companies to conform to ISO 9001.
