뉴타운 원주민의 가구특성별 주거이동 패턴 - 서울시 길음 뉴타운을 대상으로 -

초록

In the early 2000s, the Seoul Metropolitan Government initiated a new style of urban renewal plan called “New Town”. By the plan twenty-six new towns were designated for balanced development of Seoul. However, the new town developments caused controversy on residential stability of the original residents. The purpose of this study is to analyze the migration pattern of the original residents in a newtown area to get some clear pictures for the argument. In order to analyze the residential migration patterns of the original residents in a redevelopment area, Gireum newtown which was already finished in 2006 was selected as the study area. The original residents in Gireum newtown were categorized into several groups based on their household characteristics. The analytic results reveal that the migration behaviors of the original residents were differentiated by their household types and that there exists some trade-off between new residential location and housing quality in their choices.
