In-band full-duplex X-band radar applications require highly isolated Tx/Rx signals while also demanding a wide beam-scanning range and a compact form factor. In this article, we propose a copolarized shared-aperture antenna capable of wide-beam scanning by employing a cutoff substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) structure. Leveraging the evanescent-mode characteristics of the cutoff SIW, five central slots are shared between the Tx and Rx radiators, achieving inherently high port-to-port isolation exceeding 31.22 dB. Furthermore, by exploiting the inherently sub-half-wavelength width of the cutoff SIW, a four-element array with 0.4λ0 spacing achieves ±60° beam-scanning range. Compared with previously reported designs, the proposed antenna provides higher average power-handling capability, a copolarized shared-aperture configuration, high Tx/Rx isolation, and competitive beam-steering performance. Based on both simulation and experimental validation, this article is expected to serve as a promising solution for next-generation radar applications.
