칸딘스키 작품에 내포된 동양회화사상의 근원으로서 초월적 미의식

초록

As artists’ psychological reaction and visual result of physical action, making art is fantastic existence, which causes one’s imaginative power. Within the illusion fantasy, the art has the power, which overwhelms physical existence. This research defines the idea of Oriental painting with ‘Emphasis on Spirituality, Provision of Musicality, Theorist Mind, and Beauty of Line and Space,’ which is applied to Kandinsky’s art and tries to find the commonalities (between two ideas). This research will observe art’s transcendent beauty and human’s aesthetic idea.‘Emphasis of spirituality’ could be known to be congenial with Kandinsky's painting spirit that had tried to abbreviate the four-dimensional spiritual sphere to the two-dimensional line and color. ‘Allowance of musicality’ has a little difference from the view of music in Oriental painting, but is connected with a point that even Kandinsky paid attention to musical property of painting. ‘Spirit of theorist’ could be found its common ground in the presentation of numerous theses, in addition to a point that Kandinsky was also a theorist who arranged this theoretically with recognizing abstract art first, which forms the dominant trend of contemporary art. Finally, ‘beauty of line and blank’ can be found in monochrome painting of having been drawn with Indian ink on the white paper, which can be found in Kandinsky's many works, unlike other artists in the West. Indian ink and white paper are traditional materials of Oriental painting. What takes advantage of blank is traditional technique of Oriental painting. Hence, it is common in aesthetic consciousness of Oriental painting in a sense of reviving blank and of making beauty felt through harmony between blank and white even if Kandinsky didn't intentionally follow even material and technique of Oriental painting.
