A Rotation-Based Beam Alignment Scheme in Millimeter Wave MISO Systems

Beam alignment scheme plays an important role to perform a high link performance in the beyond fifth generation (B5G) systems. Particularly, the conventional beam alignment (CBA) scheme suffers a beam selection error due to the beam misalignment, as a result, this scheme does not satisfy the link quality demand of B5G systems. In this paper, we propose a rotation-based beam alignment (RBA) scheme to correct the beam misalignment and achieve a better beam gain in the millimeter wave multiple input and single output systems. The effectiveness of the proposed RBA scheme outperforms the CBA scheme and is verified in terms of the beam gain through computer simulation.
