초록

Due to the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act(the “SAPA”) and the rapid rise of ESG issues, the importance of safety for companies is gradually increasing. Accordingly, large construction companies are introducing a smart safety system(SSS) incorporating the 4th industrial revolution technology such as AI, IoT, robotics. However the result of SSS is different depending on the cases. The success of SSS was confirmed that by enabling collective mindfulness of construction site employees, it was possible to develop into a high-reliability organization. So we do case study about SSS at Gunsan The Ocean City site of POSCO E&C, where safety is one of the top values by declaring corporate citizenship as a management philosophy. In this study, the implications through case analysis were comprehensively summarized, and future research directions were presented along with theoretical and practical implications.
