국내 중·고등학생 마약류 오남용 실태와 인식에 관한 연구

.Purpose: This study examined drug use experiences, perceptions, and behavioral intentions among Korean middle and high school students to inform adolescent-centered prevention strategies in nursing and public health. Methods: A secondary data analysis was conducted using data from a panel-based online self-administered survey collected between August 16 and October 29, 2024. The dataset included responses from 1,019 middle and high school students obtained through quota sampling. Variables included drug use experiences, perceptions of severity and risk, drug-related information awareness, behavioral intentions, and coping intentions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, independent t-tests, and one-way ANOVA. Results: Only 0.4% reported prior drug use, while 2.9% intended to use. Drug use intention and perceived accessibility differed according to several sociodemographic and health behavioral characteristics, including family living standards, smoking or drinking experience, and SNS use time. Awareness was high for addiction and side effects but low for legal penalties and treatment institutions. Students reporting lower family living standards generally showed lower drug-related information awareness. Conclusion: Adolescent drug-related awareness and intentions differed according to family living standards, risk behaviors, and digital exposure, highlighting the need for targeted prevention strategies that consider socioeconomic vulnerability and digital environments.
