Work-life balance and job satisfaction of millennials: Moderated moderation model of work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic and marital status

초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the moderated moderating effect of work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic and marital status in the relationship between work-life balance and job satisfaction of millennial office workers. We analyzed 263 millennial office workers and found that the job satisfaction of singles who worked from home and married people who work from the office was similar regardless of the level of work-leisure balance. The higher the work-growth balance, the higher the job satisfaction was, except for married people who work from the office. Based on the findings, we discussed the practical implications of work-family balance, work-leisure balance, and work-growth balance from the perspective of HRD, and recommended implementing work from home considering the situation of the members of the organization.
