TTCT(Torrance Tests For Creative Thinking)를 통한 디자인교육전문가 양성 프로그램의 효과성 검증에 관한 연구

초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of a design educator training program developed and conducted by H university on the creativity development of certified trainees. The program was implemented as elementary and middle schools are going to provide early design education in 2010. A pretest and posttest were carried out to determine the effects of the program on the correlation among the five creativity subvariables by employing a Korean version of TTCT(the Korean FPSP/Hyeongok R&D Research Institute) Figural A, which was based on Paul Torrance's Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking: Thinking Creatively with Pictures, Form A. After the collected data were analyzed to address the research questions of the study, the following findings were given: First, the design educator training program had a significant effect on learner creativity development. That made significant differences to all the five creativity subfactors selected by this study based on TTCT, which involved fluency, originality, the abstractness of title, elaborateness and hasty conclusion. It definitely showed that the program was effective at boosting learner creativity. Second, the early design educator training program had an effect on the development of creative strength as well. Third, when the correlation coefficients of the pretest and posttest were compared, the early design educator training program exercised an influence on heightening the relationship of the creativity subfactors. The above-mentioned findings illustrated that the design educator training program was of use for learner creativity development and could produce new and appropriate results, which was the ultimate object of the program. Therefore the program was expected to be one of effective ways to nurture design education experts.
