Integrated Fault Detection and Isolation Algorithm for an In-wheel Vehicle

초록

This paper presents the fault detection and isolation algorithm for an in-wheel motor drive vehicle by using the model based application. Using decentralized and centralized method is to be determined to optimize trade-off relation between sensitivity and robustness. DFDD approach is suitable for an individual single processor such as each motor, inverter, acceleration/brake pedal and battery. On the other hand, CFDD approach is better for communication of multiple processors that detects and diagnosis faults. Before simulating the model, the fault models of pedal position sensors and the battery states are applied on the model and controller developed by Matlab/Simulink program. The proposed FDI algorithm is verified on the environment containing the system model.
