초록

Now East Asia is shaking with its center/periphery, imperial/ colonization, domination/subordination, inclusion/exclusion, and oppression/ liberation. European literature, ideology and culture are ‘central, universal, us’, but those of Asia are 'periphery, special, other'. The Asian people also internalize those. The first, second, third, and fourth orientalism are is inherent in the mind of Asian writers and intellectuals mixedly. I propose the thought of Daedae(待對) as a new paradigm to dismantle the dichotomy between the center and the periphery, the subject and the other. The subject of with the thought of Daedae should dismantle the existing economic base, texts and discourses as well as Euro-centrism, Orientalism, and cino-centrism, and pursue deterritorialization and innovate the world-system. Asia and Europe are mirrors and others to each other. East Asia formed a fixed identity in the process of imitation or resistance to the West. Therefore, it is necessary to shift from identity to paradigm of difference and to acquire the alterity welcoming others. In the future, East Asian literature should shift from the center-the powerelite, man, topdog to the periphery-subaltern, homo sacer, underdog, woman, and represent their voices by cracking the national state system and nationalism. Critics of East Asian literature should shift from positivism, historicism, and marxism to holistic cultural studies that include gender, race, abitus, ideology, and discourse. East Asian literature should shift from anthropo-centrism to post-humanism in the face of global environmental crisis and the fourth industrial revolution.
