Inverse-gain cavity oscillators for efficient micro and nano lasers

초록
For realization of ultracompact lasers, we propose a new design principle for laser oscillators requiring lower threshold gain as reducing the cavity length. We explain the inverse-gain mechanism and show nanophotonic and plasmonic cavity structures applying inverse-gain mechanism. Using numerical analyses, our proposed cavity structures show significant reduction of threshold gain constants by one or three order of magnitude compared to conventional laser cavities. © 2023, META Conference.
