Rapiculine, isolated in 1991 by Udanawa and coworkers from the culture filterate of Ramichloridium apicubated in Czapaek-Dox medium, has structurally unique 1-decalone derivetives bearing six contiguous stereocenter, with no previous synthetic studies reported.
