항공사 객실승무원의 사회, 가정, 이성적 외로움이 업무몰두에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

초록

Recently, an increase in women entering the workforce and an enhancement in social status are attributable to changes in women’s perceptions. Women’s priorities in life is no longer marriage but success in the workplace, self-satisfaction and self-realization. The airline company’s cabin crews organization which women account for more than 90% is no exception. In our nation’s ‘K’ airline, the number of unmarried women cabin crews aged thirty or older increase every year. Unmarried female flight attendants have joined the management as cabin pursers and assistant cabin pursers, affecting the management of the company greatly. Nevertheless, these unmarried cabin crews suffer from loneliness for various reasons, which affects their job performance both positively and negatively. The purpose of this study is to examine what kinds of loneliness would be positive or negative. For this purpose, the loneliness was divided into three types: social, family, and romantic loneliness, and thereby, a research model was designed to analyze the correlation among such loneliness, work commitment (work engagement), and depression. Thus, a questionnaire survey was conducted for the unmarried cabin crews aged thirty or older who were working for ‘K’ airline in Korea. A total of 211 responses were used for the final analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the subjects’ social loneliness affected their work commitment positively, while their romantic loneliness affected their work commitment negatively. Family loneliness affected their depression positively. The results of this study can provide practical suggestions for the airline companies in both terms of theory and practice.
