초록
This study aims to identify the diverse patterns of intra-generational work values among Generation Z workers. By adopting a person-centered approach, Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) was conducted on Generation Z workers using data from the Youth Panel 2021 (YP2021) provided by the Korea Employment Information Service. Grounded in Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT), the study examined the effects of individual characteristics (gender, education, employment status, income) and family background (parental education, parental assets, economic support) on profile membership using multinomial logistic regression. Differences in job satisfaction and life satisfaction across profiles were also analyzed. The results identified five distinct latent profiles based on the combinations and levels of work value orientations. These profiles were significantly predicted by individuals' positions in the labor market and their family background, and statistically significant differences in job satisfaction and life satisfaction were observed across profiles. This study moves beyond prior research that treated Generation Z as a homogeneous group, offering a comprehensive account of the diverse value configurations and their formation contexts within the generation. These findings can serve as foundational data for developing differentiated intervention strategies for Human Resource Development (HRD) and career development support for Generation Z workers.
