마이스(MICE)산업의 디지털화와 공급사슬 동적역량이 마이스산업의 공급사슬성과에 미치는 영향

초록

The MICE industry is an important platform industry where experiences, culture and technology, including the individuality and art of the country and city, are convergence beyond a simple arena of knowledge and information exchange. The MICE industry can bring city brand imprint, revitalization of the local economy, and job creation inducing effects as expected effects. After the COVID-19 outbreak, the MICE industry based on large-scale face-to-face aggregation has been collapsing through a period when movement between countries is restricted and gatherings are prohibited due to social distancing. Due to COVID-19 and Industry 4.0, the MICE industry is entering an era of great transformation. The innovative growth of the MICE industry is expected through the introduction of meeting technologies based on artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, and virtual reality, which are the core technologies of Industry 4.0. Therefore, this study aimed to present the effect of digitalization on the supply chain of the MICE industry by targeting the supply chain of the MICE industry, which is a network industry that is connected with each other in an organic system. This study was conducted for subcontractors participating in the MICE industry supply chain. In detail, based on the classification study of the MICE industry by event subject, companies corresponding to the organizers in the supply side classified as the core MICE industry were selected as the research subjects. As a result, it was found that MICE digitalization had a significant impact on supply chain dynamic capabilities. In addition, supply chain dynamic capability was found to play a mediating role in the relationship between MICE digitalization and supply chain performance. MICE digitalization based on meeting technology enables smooth resource sharing and redeployment between related industries in the MICE supply chain. Also it can achieve goals such as improving the quality and lead time of the supply chain network. The speed and efficiency of resource sharing and redeployment are improved through MICE digitalization so that it is possible to quickly respond to the relational and technical requirements that arise in the supply chain. Through this, MICE supply chain companies can secure the speed and flexibility of the level of joint cooperation in the supply chain and strengthen their ability to respond to market demand. Based on the results of this study it was confirmed that the digitalization of the MICE industry, where the efficiency of resource management between related industries is very important, can improve the level of network cooperation in the MICE industry. In addition, supply chain partners within the MICE industry can lay the groundwork for fulfilling the environmental and social roles pursued in the low-carbon era. This can be suggested as an implication that it is possible to secure sustainability for pursuing ESG management.
