무용전공 대학생의 목표성향과 사회적 체형불안과의 관계

초록

This article aims to find the goal orientation of dance-major college students and its influence on the social physique anxiety. For this purpose, 171 dance-major students were sampled. The survey instruments employed for collecting the data included Social Physique Anxiety Scale(SPAS) developed by Hart, Leary, and Rejeski(1989), and Task and Ego Orientation In Sport Questionnaire(TEOSQ) developed by Duda and Nicholls. The analyses of the collected data included exploratory factor analysis, reliability verification, frequency analysis, MANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple regression. The results are as follows: First, in comparing the social physique anxiety with the goal orientation according to the features of dancers, the major effects consisted in the satisfaction of physical expression and the goal orientation by sex; the satisfaction of physical expression, the goal orientation and the ego orientation by career; and the ego orientation by major. Second, in assessing the correlation of the variables of the social physique anxiety and the goal orientation, the negative physique estimation in the social physique anxiety had a negative correlation with the satisfaction of the physical expression; the task orientation of the goal orientation, a positive correlation with the satisfaction of the physical expression; and the ego orientation, positive correlations with the satisfaction of the physical expression, the negative physique estimation and the task orientation. Third, the satisfaction of the physical expression and the negative physique estimation had significant influence on the goal orientation.
