수도권 지역 마약 범죄 발생과 도시환경 요인의 연관성 분석 : 생활안전지도 치안사고통계 자료를 활용하여

초록

The general trend of drug crimes in our country has been steadily increasing, with a significant increase in total drug-related crimes in 2023 compared to 2021. This suggests the severity of drug crimes and has increased the public’s anxiety about safety. While numerous studies on drug addiction and enforcement have been conducted, research on urban environmental factors affecting drug crimes is lacking. Therefore, this study analyzed urban environmental factors affecting drug crimes using drug-related crime statistics from the Korean Safety Map targeting the metropolitan area. The analysis showed that areas with a high proportion of foreigners have an increased risk of drug crime occurrence. Additionally, areas with many construction sites, nightclubs, and restaurants showed a high association with the risk of drug crime, while police facilities were found to have an impact on reducing drug crimes. This study is significant in that it analyzes urban environmental factors influencing drug crimes, identifies areas with concentrated drug crimes, and derives policy implications for the prevention of drug crimes.
