Comparison of Winter Operation Performance of Renewable Energy System Applied to Heat Pump for Space Heating and Domestic Hot Water

초록

The purpose of this paper is to compare the winter operation performance for the renewable energy system applied to the heating and hot water heat pump. Based on business facilities located in Seoul, energy simulations were conducted on two renewable energy systems; Photovoltaic-Termal (PVT) system and Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Fuel Cell (FC). The renewable energy system model used in this paper was based on the TRNSYS 18; Type 50 and Type 170. The results of the energy simulation showed that: The temperature of hot water supplied through the two renewable energy systems was found to be in the range of 50°C to 70°C and sufficiently satisfied with the hot water supply temperature. Comparing primary energy consumption for the two renewable energy systems, the results showed that FC was superior to PVT in the winter.
