The purpose of this study is investigating the different perceptions on college graduated employee's competency between HRD practitioners and college students. To identify the different perceptions we conducted a survey of 131 HRD professionals in Korean large enterprises as well as 333 college students. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, HRD professionals' perceptions on the necessity of integrity, manner and Attitude were significantly higher than college students' perceptions and college students' perceptions on the necessity of global mindset, foreign language skill and speciality were significantly higher than HRD professionals'. Seconds, HRD professionals' perceptions on the current level of self expression skill, common knowledge, global mindset, foreign language skill and learning skill were higher than college students' perceptions and college students' perceptions on organization understanding, manner, attitude and flexibility were significantly higher than HRD professionals'. Third, the level of importance of skills desired by HRD professionals descended from cooperation, interpersonal skills and organization understanding but the perceived importance of skills according to college students descended from foreign language skills, business common knowledge and presentation skills. This perception gap indicates that the current college curriculum should be improved and the new courses should be designed to better meet the requirements of corporations.
