Adenoid basal carcinoma of the uterine cervix: Report of two cases

초록

adenoid basal carcinoma of cervix is a rare condition mostly occuring among postmenopausal women. First case is 67 years old female who showed no malignant cell on pap smear, with a subsequent hysterectomy specimen revealing adenoid basal carcinoma. The lesion showed the characteristic histologic feautres of adenoid basal carcinoma and was positive for the immunohistochemical marker Ki-67, CAM 5.2, K903, and p63. Second case is 88 years old female who presented with vaginal spotting and adenocarcinoma on pap smear. The lesion showed the histologic features of adenoid basal carcinoma on endometrial biopsy and endocervical curettage and was negative for the immunohistochemical markers.
