Performance Analysis for Coexistence Network of LTE-LAA and WLAN in 5GHz Unlicensed Band

초록

Recently global mobile data traffic usages are increasing rapidly becauseof Long Term Evolution service. For this reason LTE-Licensed AssistedAccess, which is one of features in 3GPP release 13, has been studied.LTE-Licensed Assisted Access can operate both in licensed spectrum andin 5GHz unlicensed spectrum using Carrier Aggregation technology. 3GPPLTE-LAA standardization progress is now under discussion with IEEE802.19.This thesis investigates the 3GPP standardization progress for LTE-LAAthen modeling it based on Modeler Network Level Simulator. First, buildingon interference environment between LTE and WLAN in 5GHz UnlicensedBands. After that modeling the Listen Before Talk based on Frame BasedEquipment which is executed through the Clear Channel Assessmentprocedure for coexistence network. Finally, we analyze the performance ofcoexistence network between LTE-LAA and WLAN in 5GHz UnlicensedBands with Signal to Noise Ratio, delay and throughput.
