초록
The purpose of this study was to analyze the spatial characteristics of Bad Samedan which introduces a new type of thermal baths, It presents vertical arrangement of independent entities and sequential experiences based on Roman baths. Particularly, the entities arranged with three-dimensional spiral steps can be compared to Raumplan, the spatial composition of Adolf Loos, or it can be deduced the influence of Constellation which appears in the urban structure of Engadin" s region and also in its vernacular buildings. Through this study, we intend to recall the fundamental characteristics of ancient bathing facilities and explore the meaning and application of the new thermal baths type.
