3D 프린팅 미술 감상교구가 시각장애아의 담화능력 촉진에 미치는 영향

초록

This study is addressing the contents on the verification of effectiveness in art-appreciation educational material using 3D printing technology for visually impaired children that a researcher developed in a previous research. ‘Monna Lisa’ and ‘Guernica,’ which are famous paintings preferred by visually impaired children, were calculated with the line-centered and surface-centered 3D printing educational material in consideration of visual characteristics in children with total blindness and with low vision based on the class observation and interview in the field of the school for the visually impaired. The lesson application for inspecting effectiveness was carried out over 6 instructional units targeting 3 students in the 2nd grade of high school as A school for the blind of Incheon in October of 2019. The effectiveness of the developed educational material was verified through observing the art-appreciation instructional process, analyzing the output, and interviewing with teachers and students. As a result, the art-appreciation educational material through 3D printing led to the positive Mimesis (imitation) activity with escaping from the passive activity like scribbling the expression of emotion by simple material such as crayon in the meantime. In this process, the effect of improving discourse competence was shown that verbally expresses a curiosity about a production artist, a question about a notable painting preferred by peer non-disabled students, and an interest in art history and other culture. Resultingly, the 3D printing art-appreciation educational material, which was proposed in this study, links a question about human experience or social issue with the imagination of visually impaired children. In this aspect, it is expected to be likely able to be used as a strategic medium of promoting powerful discourse competence with the combination of technology, design and education.
