Improvement of Characteristics of Fringe Field Switching Mode Liquid Crystal Display through Surface Modifications with Reactive Mesogen

초록
We propose the surface modification with reactive mesogen for strong azimuthal anchoring energy and low pretilt in fringe field swiching mode. To cofirm the elecrtic optical characteristics,we facricated 4.3-inch WVGA fringe-field switching mode usinf RM-micwd in planar alignment layer. The RM-mixed alibnebt later face rise to improvement of rhe response time bt an enhancement of azimuthal anchoring energy. In addition, due to low pretilt angel of the RM-mixed alignment layer, no gray inversion was observed at the off axis.
