서울시 성수동 도시재생사업에 대한 산업지원 및 도시재생 통합적 관점의 특성 분석

초록

This was a case study of domestic and foreign policies supporting urban regeneration. The goal was identifying measures that would support policy for urban regeneration in areas with heavy concentrations of small manufacturing industries within the city. This study established a framework of analysis centering on the successful cases of urban regeneration overseas, such as the urban regeneration policy of the European Union (EU) and the Monozukuri policy and system of Tokyo, and applied the framework to the case of Seongsu-dong, Seoul, to derive implications relating for policy supporting urban regeneration in industrial areas. It is necessary to prepare a legal and institutional basis for supporting dense industrial areas that are in a state of decline in order to have an adequate policy for industry-based urban regeneration, and to develop a comprehensive measure for each area, combining industrial and spatial policies, as in the cases of Monozukuri and Machizukuri in Japan. It would be possible to secure the sustainable and self-reliant urban regeneration only if urban regeneration is based on the local industries and economy.
