근대 지식 청년과 渡歐 40여 일의 문화지정학－1920～30년 독일 유학생의 渡歐記를 중심으로－

초록

In the study, it takes a close look at the long travel essay of five Korean students studying in Germany who have traveled across Europe from 1920 to early 1930 - , Joonyun Kim, Hyunjoon Kim, Seungchul Park, Jungsik Gye and Yooho Do. The travel essay is significant as it shows individual and continuous experiences of the five Korean young intellec- tuals from Tokyo to Berlin. It examines differences found in students studying in Germany from those in Japan and USA and young intellect’s representation of each area in describing their travel from China Sea - Indian Ocean–Mediterranean Sea and their first experiences about Europe and how they divided space. Based on it, it researches the five intellect’s complicated perspectives on the region and cultural geopolitical meaning inherent in the perspectives. It is significant that it provides a detailed aspect and significance of young intellectual’s experience in Europe, espe- cially in Germany of the times, away from the discussion mainly focused on students studying in Japan and USA.
