중학교 수학교과서에 제시된 사회과제재의 가교성 분석

This study aims for exploring the bridgeability between mathematics and social studies as basic research of YungBokHap Education. We analyzed mathematics textbooks based on middle school curriculum revised in 2009 by the key themes of the social studies using Text Mining method. The themes of the social studies extracted through frequency analysis were ‘Olympic’, ‘Jeju Island’, ‘Carbon Dioxide’, ‘Eco-friendly’, ‘Global Warming’ across the entire content areas of mathematics. The network analysis and the centrality analysis were carried out focusing these themes. The themes focused on the issues like ‘Carbon Dioxide’, ‘Eco-friendly’, and ‘Global Warming’ showed that both the social studies textbooks and the mathematics textbooks had a variety of relevant themes which were closely correlated to one another. On the contrary, in the case of the themes related the subject like ‘Olympic’, ‘Jeju Island’, it was hard to find relationship among relevant themes in mathematics textbook, compared to social studies textbooks. This research identified themes which can be connected to mathematics and social studies. Furthermore, it will be possible to provide Big Idea which can reflect contexts of other academic subjects and various field of research of teaching and learning based on YungBokHap Education in a future research.
