나 홀로 여행객의 라이프 스타일 호텔 공간 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구: 서울 홍대 지역 중심으로

초록

The purpose of this study is to understand solo travelers' experiences of lifestyle hotel spaces and discover their meanings. The research question was 'What is the meaning of solo travelers' experiences of lifestyle hotel spaces? To achieve the research objective, a purposive sampling of solo travelers staying at lifestyle hotels in Hongdae area of Seoul was conducted. The research method was phenomenological research, which aims to describe the universal nature of individuals' multiple experiences of a phenomenon. To collect data, the researcher conducted in-depth interviews with a total of 7 research participants based on open-ended, semi-structured questions. The data was analyzed using Moustakas' modified Stevick-Colaizzi-Keen method, which has strict guidelines for analysis among phenomenological research methods. The results of the study were 4 themes, 12 meaning units, 173 meaningful statements. The analysis resulted in 4 themes: 'sensuous design that feels and expresses with the whole body', 'comfortable and emotional versatile location', 'locality in Hongdae, full of youth and vitality', ‘socializing between myself and others through playing and communicating' were derived. Therefore, this study is significant in that it analyzed in-depth the experiences of solo travelers in lifestyle hotel spaces and suggested the future direction of lifestyle hotels and the hotel industry based on the results, and it can provide evidence for targeted marketing in the highly competitive hotel industry. Additionally, it has academic significance in that it expands the scope of research and subjects of study by focusing on solo travelers and lifestyle hotels, which have received attention as times change.
