초록
It is considerable to observe a changing patterns of generational self-awareness in Korean-Japanese society in Japan. Due to political conflict between Korean Residents Union in Japan (‘Mindan’: Pro-South Korea Organization) and General Association of Korean Resident in Japan (‘Chochongryon’: Pro-North Korea Organization), Korean–Japanese society is in struggle concerning nationality and unification of Korean peninsular issues for long time. At the same time, they have to deal with identity crisis. This crisis can be intensified a person who has grown up and educated in Japan. Their main concern is not a political issues but their identity. It is reasonable to assume that there is a great gap between old and younger generation. To verify this gap, the survey was conducted 85 people for four months (June-October, 2013) in Fukuoka, Yamaguchi, Shimane, and Hiroshima. Through this empirical analysis, this paper would provide a useful guideline for policy implications, regarding to generational changes of Korean-Japanese in Japan.
