Sensor Module Fault Detection and Isolation for a Motor Drive Vehicle with characteristics of sensor and parity equation

초록

This paper suggests the fault detection and isolation (FDI) algorithm for a stable control of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) by using the model based application. The fault signals of the phase current sensor are detected by using the parity equation and those of the resolver sensor are detected by using its operating characteristics. The FDI algorithm contains some residual signals that represent the difference between detected values of the sensor and calculated values of the developed model. Before simulating the model, the fault models of the current sensor and the resolver sensor are applied on the IPMSM model and controller developed by Matlab/Simulink program. The proposed FDI algorithm is verified on the environment containing the system model.
