한국판 자기자비 상태 측정도구의 타당화 연구: 대학생과 성인을 중심으로

Validation of the Korean Version of the State Self-Compassion Scale (Long and Short Forms) for College Students and Adults

초록

This study aims to verify the suitability and validity of the items in the Korean-translated version of the State Self-Compassion Scale(SSCS) developed by Neff et al.(2021). Data were collected from 275 college students and 421 adults, and analyses including factor structure exploration and item fit using the Rasch model were conducted for each group. The analysis yielded the following results: First, the Korean version of the SSCS showed acceptable levels of fit in both the 6-factor correlated model and the 2-second-order model for both college students and adult groups. Second, the Rasch model analysis revealed that while the item difficulty and fit indices were relatively stable in both groups, further discussion is necessary regarding the adjustment of item difficulty and response categories. Third, the factor analysis of the abbreviated SSCS, consisting of six items, suggests that it is more appropriate for use with college students than with adults. Based on the results, the study proposes a measurement tool with proven objectivity and validity for use in psychological counseling, education, and organizational settings. Additionally, it discusses the implications regarding factor structure characteristics, item difficulty, and response scale adjustments for college student and adult groups.
