To utilize circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in clinical applications, one needs a device that is capable of separate viable CTCs regardless of their scarcity and heterogeneity. We report a microfluidic device for CTC separation satisfying the needs. Results demonstrated that our microfluidic device showed high separation efficiency (> 97%) and enrichment ratio (~10⁸) without clogging.
