초록
In this study, we shall be concerned with computing in parallel a few of the smallest eigenvalues and their corresponding eigenvectors of the generalized eigenvalue problem Ax=lamda Bx, where A and B are large sparse symmetric positive definite matrices. Such a partial eigenproblem often arises in many engineering and science applications, e.g., structural mechanics, hyfrodynamics and plasma physics. Due to the large number of applications of this problem, considerable effort has been devoted to the development of efficient and reliable methods for solving such a problem.
