초록
This study aims to investigate the trends of quantitative research based on Plog’s psychographic model published in international journals during the 21st century through a systematic literature review. It evaluates the current utilization of Plog’s model and its measurement tools, as well as their validity as tools for predicting tourist behavior. To enhance methodological transparency and reliability, the study followed the PRISMA 2020 Statement guidelines and assessed the risk of bias using the QualSyst tool during the selection process. Literature searches were conducted through Scopus and Google Scholar for English articles published between 2001 and 2024 in SJR Q1 journals. After a two-stage screening of titles, abstracts, and full texts, 22 studies were included. Domestic journals were also searched through DBpia and RISS, targeting top-tier KCI journals; however, no matching studies were found. Therefore, an additional search was conducted across all KCI tourism journals to provide diagnostic insights, identifying seven studies for review. The findings indicated that biased sample collection is often unavoidable when pursuing topic diversity. Furthermore, studies combining Plog's scale with related theories provided stronger explanatory power and support for the model.
