초록
This paper proposes a wheel speed sensor correction and effective wh eel radius estimation algor ithm by using the GPS (Global Positioning S ystem) message. The effective radius of wheel depends on the tire pressure, running temperature, replacem ent of an aftermarket wheel-tire set. The GPS, a part of navigation system, determines the global position, speed, and heading angle of receiver by using communication with satellites. The proposed algor ithm estimates the eff ecti ve radius of tires in real-time and corrects the measured wheel speed to compensate for variation of tir e status due to driving en vir onment. The simu lation was conducted to validate the proposed algorithm using the commer cial simulation tool.
