Studies on the synthesis and antibacterial activities of 1-methyl-2-[5-(substituted [1,2,4]oxadiazole) pyrrolidine-4-ylthio] carbapenem derivatives

These compounds were synthesized via several step from trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline 1 and b-methylcarbapenem as shown bythe general route summarized in the scheme. 1,2,4-oxadiazole derivatives were synthesized from N-Hydroxy-acetamidine. Antibacterial activities of the prepared compound were tested.
