초록
An interior permanent magnet motor used in the high speed application has the mechanical problem in a flux barrier due to a centrifugal force. Since the shape of a flux barrier also has an influence to the magnetic performance, the design of a flux barrier should be performed considering both the magnetic and the mechanical performance. A material property is presented by the level set function with Heaviside function and the objective function is set to maximize an average torque under a maximum level of the stress constraint and a material usage. To obtain an optimum configuration, the level set boundaries are moved by a normal velocity from an optimality and convergence conditions and the augmented Lagrangian method is used to handle the nonlinear constraints. A design example shows that the proposed method can design the flux barrier effectively by considering both magnetic and mechanical performance.
