A Study on the Combination Relationships of Synonyms for 'Forget'

초록

This study examines the combination relationships between synonyms of 'forget' and their subject and object noun phrases, investigating the semantic preference patterns of each synonym and exploring their semantic characteristics. The analysis of the combination relationships between synonyms of 'forget' and object noun phrases revealed that the object noun phrases of 'itda' appear in all types of meanings, with the most examples combining with noun phrases of the [action] and [psychology] types. 'Manggakhada' appeared most frequently with the [condition] type, followed by a high proportion of the [concept] type. This indicates that 'manggakhada' shows a semantic preference for terms such as 'situations encountered' or 'ideologies, principles, doctrines, truths,' etc. It was confirmed that the object noun phrases of 'kkanbakhada' tend to be used in contexts related to human [actions]. 'Kkamokda' was found to combine with noun phrases of the [language] type such as 'lyrics, lines, words, stories,' etc. Analyzing the combination relationships of subject noun phrases with synonyms of 'forget,' it was found that 'itda' combines equally with first-person and third-person noun phrases. 'Manggakhada' prominently combined with third-person noun phrases. On the other hand, 'kkanbakhada' and 'kkamokda' showed a higher rate of combination with first-person noun phrases.
