The alkylation of alipahatic acid chlorides with organoboranes in presence of base and copper(I) halides

Potassium t-butoxyalkylborane which obtained in the simple treatment of potassium t-butoxide and alkylboranes reacts with aliphatic acid chlorides in the presence of copper(I) halides in the THF-HMPA to give the corresponding aliphatic ketones.
