한‧중 마고의 전승 양상과 연관성 고찰
초록
This paper is a basic work to establish a storytelling plan for Mago, who was a Taoist goddess, to comprehensively organize the shape of Mago by examining the relationship between the transmission patterns of Korea-China Mago. Mago of China has established herself as a Taoist goddess who oversees the health and peace of the people and symbolizes longevity. While Chinese Mago has been consistently handed down in the shape of a Mago fairy, Korean Mago has not been simple in its transmission pattern. In the oral legend, Mago appears as Grandma Mago, but in documentary literature, Mago Fairy and Grandma Mago appear mixed. Among the written literature, Mago's characteristics in Chinese literature were consistent with the Chinese Mago fairy. However, some of the names of Mago in the Korean literature were Mago Fairy or Mago Grandmother, and in one work, Mago Fairy and Mago Grandmother were used in combination without any distinction. The feeling of Mago’s Go(姑), the acceptance of Mago in the private sector that has been understood based on ancient history and images, the fact that some Chinese writers also portrayed Mago as an image of her grandmother, and the Mago fairy was also recognized as a grandmother in the private sector because of the complex entanglement that the painting was in the shape of a grandmother in the late Chosun Dynasty. Next, this examined the reason why most of the Mago fairies with place names are Cheontaesan Mago fairies. Cheontaesan Mountain was a representative holy Mountain where Taoist Dongcheon(洞天) and Mago fairies lived in China. The records of Chinese writers' beautiful women of Cheontaesan Mountain were accepted by Chosun writers and were widely spread to the general public by the 18th century. Finally, we looked at the relationship between the Chinese Mago fairy and the Korean equipment legend Mago Gransmother. It was considered that the powerful grandmother, who makes land and rivers, came down as an independent transmission in Korea, apart from Mago in China. Various grandmothers, which were referred to by other names of Mago grandmother, were not derived from Mago grandmother, but on the contrary, when these grandmothers, who played the role of local goddesses, combined with Mago grandmother, China's Mago grandmother was changed into Korean-style Mago grandmother. Based on this study, a new storytelling establishment plan using Mago will be presented in the follow-up work.
