초록

Seoul provided a community housing for public rental to utilize the advantages of artists and community housing. Thus, the city expected to contribute to the vitalization of the neighborhood community through voluntary participation of artists. Therefore, community housing for artists requires an empirical study on its relationship with the neighborhood community, rather than as a unit housing. This study analyzed the relation between residential satisfaction characteristics, a sense of neighborhood community, and participation in the neighborhood community. The results are as follows. First, among the residential satisfaction characteristics, internal interactions, external interactions, and personal characteristics had a direct influence on the sense of neighborhood community. Second, the internal interactions had a direct influence on the sense of neighborhood community and participation in the neighborhood community. Third, the sense of neighborhood community had a direct influence on participation in the neighborhood community and had a mediating effect through this. For community housing for artists to contribute to the vitalization of the neighborhood community, focus should be more on the internal and external interaction characteristics rather than on physical characteristics such as the space and performance of the house. To vitalize such internal and external interactions, along with public support, trained housing coordinators are required who can play a mediating role between the public and the residents.
