초록

This essay has an aim to develop new model of writing assessment to examine the students’ core competences by converging the various academic fields based on literature. Unfortunately, writing education in high school seems to be regressing because it causes the growth of private education. Before we feel infuriated by that absurd reality and educational policies, we need to develop the writing assessment model proper to the national curriculum for public schools. I suggest that we pay attention to the power of literature. Literature has a wide and deep relation with the competences of creativity, communication, aesthetic sensibility, and community. It’s nature of flexibility makes it possible to combine the academic or subject matters and to deal with the interdisciplinary issues. So I tried to present the convergence model to evaluate the students ability based on literature with other subject matters or disciplines by constructing the structure of matrix made of various competences as above. To verify the validity of that model, I analyzed the former tests composed of single subject matter, and compared it with the new ones of interdisciplinary matters. I hope to try and examine more various form and style of writing assessment made of convergence spirit in education for the better future.
