초록
Major countries recognize the severity of global warming and are promoting policies to reduce GHG(Greenhouse Gas) emissions, the major cause of this phenomenon. This study proposes a model to determine the optimal allocation of energy resources to minimize costs associated with GHG emissions in the energy sector, which significantly contributes to overall emissions. Our aim is to derive an optimal portfolio that minimizes total costs. Recently, EVs(Electric Vehicles) have rapidly expanded in the transportation sector, accounting for 20-30% of total energy consumption. This study uniquely incorporates the electrification of transportation into optimizing energy resource allocation to minimize GHG emission costs. We constructed eight scenarios based on EVs penetration and the EVs subsidies, applying a genetic algorithm to derive the optimal proportion of each energy resource. Results indicate that GHG emission costs associated with EVs expansion could reach up to $600 million per year, with traditional energy resources remaining cost-competitive. This model is expected to assist policymakers in establishing efficient eco-friendly policies for the EVs era.
