초록
The shape of the cavitator is crucial in supercavitating flow. In this paper, a rotational non-axisymmetric cavitator was proposed, and the performance of the generated cavity was analyzed through computational analysis based on the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations. The key variables were the cavitation number and the rotational speed of the non-axisymmetric cavitator. The non-dimensionalized diameter and length of cavity as well as the drag coefficient, which were the objective function, were compared using the rotational speed. The results showed that as the rotational speed increased, the drag coefficient of the cavitator increased, and subsequently, the cavity size increased. The rotating non-axisymmetric cavitator generated a larger cavity than the disk cavitator under the same drag force and cavitation number conditions.
