초록

In this paper, I considered for consciousness by human desire to eternal life, dealing with Taoist ideology of Korean Yusun literature. First, I examined the a view of death of Taoism and the relationship of Yusun literature and Taoist ideology. Then I studied three aspects characteristic of the Taoist ideology of Yusun literature. First, it was found that writers entered a fairyland and enjoyed themselves through unworldliness. Second, writers met and kept Taoist hermits company. Third, writers took medicine and became hermits. On this, I look the religiosity and desires reflected in Taoist ideology. I made a thorough investigation into Yusun literature. As a result, I discovered a lot of 18, 19th century writers as well as 16, 17th’s writers. In other words, people dreamed of being hermits. Many Confucianists thought of being hermits even though in the times of Realistic era. Taoist ideology suggested free imagination that Confucian rationalism could not solve. Taoist ideology is closely connected to human freedom and death religiosity. Human desire to get out of the rein and the troubles of life made writers tend to immortal world. So we have to find the literary desire about human’s pain and healing, bondage and freedom. I think that we need to approach the Taoist ideology of Yusun literature at human’s religiosity and desire.
