Reduction of hydrogen chloride from a biomass-fired circulated fluidized bed boiler by fuel mixing

초록

The analysis of fuel was made in a category of every company, major impurities contained in the raw material, grade to determine major sources of chlorine. The generated HCl gases directly in the circulating fluidized bed boiler were also analyzed according to the concentration of chlorine in mixed fuel, and limestone injection, and without injection. Mixed fuel with 50% of waste woods and 50% of forest residues could keep maximum allowable plant design value which is 0.3%. The generated HCl concentration was 296 ppm. Injection of limestone into the furnace was effective to remove 29% of HCl in flue gases. 69kg/h of sodium bicarbonate was used with limestone injection and 220 kg/h of sodium bicarbonate was used without limestone injection.
