A Closed Form Ballistic Solution for Ground and Anti-Aircraft Gun Fire Control System

초록

There have been many approximate ballistic equations used for direct fire control system. But they are lack of generality and the ballistic equation might be re-developed when the bullet type changes. Also there are some closed form ballistic solutions in the literature deriving from point mass ballistic differential equation. It shows more generality, and it is easy to use and more accurate in non-standard environment than the previous approximate methods. However due to simplified air drag model for closed form solution, it sacrifices some ballistic accuracy. We propose an another closed form ballistic solution for real time processing, which has better accuracy for the ground and air targets through improving the air drag model. Some simulation results are shown to demonstrate efficacy of our algorithm for the 30mm ammunition.
